Have you seen them? They are finally popping up all over the place. I’m talking about bluebonnets, of course! Spring is finally here and warmer temps are in the forecast (Is it just me or did this “winter” feel longer than normal? Must have been all those ice days!)
Speaking of ice though, apparently, between the relatively wet fall and the icy temps we had over the winter, things are setting up nicely for our beloved Texas bluebonnets. (This is by the official wildflower experts forecast, not that I know how any of this plays into it.) Interestingly enough it seems that especially the bluebonnets come back around in full force every two years. 2010 and 2012 were both stellar years, so in theory, this year should be a good one. So anyways, good news, we should have a pretty good year for bluebonnets and Texas wildflowers in general. I’ve located at least one pretty good patch and I’ve seen plenty driving around town along the usual highways.
With that said, I’ve made some room on my calendar to schedule a few rounds of spring mini sessions.
Available dates are:
Sunday, March 30th morning
Saturday, April 5th morning
Sunday, April 13th morning
Location for the spring mini sessions will be determined a few days before based on where the best patches are. If you see good wildflower patches in your area, let me know. Safety is always my out most priority, I will not do photo sessions along major highways or roads.
Bluebonnets are only around for 2-3 weeks depending on weather conditions.
